Esther Scott

Esther studied classical ballet with Beth James and Diana de Vos in Western Australia, completing her Advanced Exam with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) as well as Elementary Exam with Cecchetti Ballet Australia. She holds an Advanced Dance Diploma from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and danced for the Western Australia Opera‘s productions of Faust and Norma (2004). Esther has worked with choreographers Randall Flinn, Juanita Jelleyman, Caleb Mitchell, Sue Peacock, Steve Rooks and Kenn Tolle, and has performed throughout Australia, the United States of America (USA), Switzerland, China, Malaysia, Vietnam and Myanmar. Esther danced with Ad Deum Dance Company, based in Texas (USA), 2008-2012, before joining Remnant Dance in 2012.

Julie Valenzuela

Julie is a classically trained pianist, vocalist and self-taught composer, based in Queensland, Australia. An experienced educator and artist, Julie has performed throughout Australia, promoting her original albums and commissioned works. She has formed, or been part of, several Australian bands over the past 15 years, and released two albums of original works in the process. In 2007 and 2012, Julie’s work was promoted through the Regional Arts Development Fund of Queensland and, in 2013, contributed to a category win in the ACMF national song-writing competition. Since Julie’s collaborations with Remnant Dance in 2011, Julie’s compositions have featured in events and festivals throughout Australia and in Vietnam and China.
