The completed work will have its premier in Perth next year, as part of a new Remnant Dance triple bill, which will then tour throughout Australia as part of local Fringe Festivals, so we'd love your feedback on the process during the development phase of the work. "There are times when I feel stuck; vulnerable, helpless; stuck, still, hidden; stuck. Shifting from this place of solitude and acute stillness takes more than myself and I find I need to be held by more than myself: the light changes". *Juanita Jelleyman is an emerging choreographer and dance artist based in New Zealand. Her practice is primarily concerned with themes of movement and stillness, breath, community through interdisciplinary arts practice. She has studied and taught at The University of Auckland, where she recently gained her Masters in Creative and Performing Arts. She is a founding member of SMS Collective.
